Scholl’s history began in 1904 when Dr. Scholl, then only 22 years old, patented his first invention – the Foot-Eazer, a revolutionary shoe insert designed to provide arch support. This innovation marked the start of a series of breakthroughs in footcare, with Scholl Manufacturing Co. Inc. established in 1907.
By 1912, Dr. Scholl had founded the Illinois College of Chiropody and Orthopaedics, emphasizing scientific research and education in podiatry.
